At Nucleus University School of Medicine (NUSOM) the curriculum of Pre-Health Science/ Pre-Med Program is highly integrative and clinical based. An accelerated Pre-Health Science Program, which guides through the Caribbean Medical School requirements, helping to fulfill dreams of becoming a Doctor and receiving a MD without MCAT for medical school.
The program is designed for students to become highly knowledgeable, skillful, and compassionate physician of the future. The instructors hold MDs/PhDs and or Masters in their respective field and expect students to have little doubt in their abilities to become a Doctor. The NUSOM accepts students from High School who have high scholastic achievements and prepares them to become Medical students, by preparing them for pre-clinical studies.
Pre-Health Science/Pre-Med students in this program benefit by securing their positions as medical students without first obtaining their bachelors or master’s degrees. Once decided to enroll as a pre-med student, our focus will be to get accepted into a medical school. We will provide all the tools to become a successful candidate to get accepted into a medical school.
The requirements at Nucleus University School of Medicine (NUSOM), Pre-Health Science Program include an approximate high school GPA of 2.5-3 or better. Completion of Grade 12, OSSD, or Mature Student Status. Letter of recommendation and copy of resume from school authority is required.
Nucleus University School of Medicine (NUSOM), offers students the courses you need to meet the basic requirements for medical schools. We also prepare you for the MCAT, increasing your chances of becoming a medical student.
Students will undergo a three semester Pre-Health Sciences/Pre-Med program to earn the credits and experience needed for their chosen career path. The Pre-Health Sciences program consists of three semesters (50 weeks total) and earns a total of 90 credits. This allows students to be well prepared for their path in healthcare by going through the following subjects.
Our knowledgeable and professional instructors not only educate, but tutor and advise students throughout the course of their study. Students are instructed based on a rigorous curriculum, which will set a strong foundation for students to build upon in their future careers.
Students complete 90 credit hours of the Pre-Health Science/Pre-Med Program in one year, which provides the prerequisites to be qualified and eligible for admission into MD program.
